PARAPENTE Vuelo de Bautismo : Te llevamos con nosotros en una Clase Introductoria al Vuelo en Parapente de una manera segura y cómoda, desde el mirador de Cuchi Corral, en La Cumbre. Cualquiera puede Volar, sin importar le edad ni la experiencia previa Sobrevolamos el hermoso Valle de Cuchi Corral atravesado por el Río Pintos (con una desnivelación de 400 metros) el cual nos ofrece condiciones meteorológicas muy favorables para el Vuelo Libre. El vuelo tiene una duración de 20 minutos, dependiendo especialmente de las condiciones meteorológicas. No es necesario tener experiencia previa y cualquier persona con menos de 140 kg. puede volar, sin importar la edad. Menores acompañados por sus padres. CABALGATAS Por las sierras:

Nuestros caballos son absolutamente dóciles y de excelente andar. Cabalgando entre la naturaleza el espíritu se libera ante la inmensidad de las sierras, el viento suave, la melodía de la fronda de los árboles y de los pájaros, que envuelven al visitante en la magia del lugar.

Realizamos cabalgatas nocturnas, especialmente en noches de luna llena. El espíritu se eleva cabalgando por sitios tan cercanos al cielo. TREKKINIG - TREKKING

Involves hiking through nontraditional or chopped trails in wilderness areas, usually in mountainous or hilly areas with a decline in the largest field to 15 degrees, which requires some physical exertion. Includes use of camps or interim accommodations when it comes to a circuit of several days.

There are two variants:

Journal: is done with departure and return in the day, with a fixed basis for the night.
Cruise: the tour takes place over several days at fixed sites for the night, transport equipment in backpacks or pack animals still needed.

Consiste en realizar caminatas por senderos no tradicionales o picadas en zonas agrestes, por lo general en zonas montañosas o escarpadas con un declive en el terreno mayor a 15 grados, lo cual requiere un cierto esfuerzo físico. Incluye el uso de campamentos o alojamientos intermedios cuando se trata de un circuito de varias jornadas.

Existen 2 variantes:

Diario: se realiza con salida y regreso en el día, contando con una base fija para pernoctar.
De travesía: el recorrido se realiza en varios días contando con sitios fijos para pernoctar, siendo necesarios el transporte del equipo en mochilas o con animales de carga.

TIROLESA

Climbing technique involves passing from one place to another in a stream, river or rocks by two ropes suspended and anchored at both ends, one of which is used to progress, and the other is used as insurance. The subject is fitted with a harness attached to the rope progression and safety by means of carabiners and a washer, is hung around the ropes time and help with the feet and hands to progress.

Técnica de escalada que consiste en pasar de un lugar a otro de un arroyo, río o rocas por medio de dos cuerdas suspendidas y ancladas en ambos extremos, una de ellas se utiliza para progresar, y la otra es utilizada como seguro. El sujeto va dotado de un arnés fijado a la cuerda de progresión y de seguridad por medio de unos mosquetones y una rondana, se encuentra en todo momento colgado de las cuerdas y se ayuda con los pies y manos para progresar.

RAPEL

Climbing technique in which one descends vertical surfaces from a height sliding the body by a rope to climb down in a controlled manner. They can use different types of earrings: inclined, vertical or overhanging.

Técnica de escalada en la cual se desciende por superficies verticales desde una altura determinada deslizando el cuerpo por una cuerda para descolgarse de manera controlada. Se pueden utilizar diferentes tipos de pendientes: inclinada, vertical o desplomada.

*** Cascada Las Bandurrias Characato : -Characato es una Reserva Natural ubicada a 105km de Córdoba Capital. Se Crea con el fin de que los visitantes puedan acceder a un espacio Natural donde podrán disfrutar de ríos, arroyos, montañas, paisajes a través de diferentes actividades recreacionales para toda la familia: Fogones, Trekking, Cabalgatas, Pesca con devolución, Visitas guiadas a Minas y Canteras, Gastronomía regional, etc .

*** Csacda de los Helechos Valle Hermoso :Desde Vaquerías, siguiendo el curso del arroyo se llega después de una caminata en la cual es posible observar paisajes que nos brinda generosamente la naturaleza, a la Cascada de los Helechos, de unos 15mts de altura, con aguas cristalinas de vertiente y una fabulosa vegetación de helechos y molles, bajo la protección de un microclima único.Es una reserva natural, ahora perteneciente a la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, ubicada a unos 2km de la localidad. Su nombre se debe a que a fines del siglo XVIII la zona del; arroyo Vaquerías fue destinada a la cría de ganado vacuno. En cuanto a la fauna que habita en el lugar, existen más de cien especies algunas de las cuales están en peligro de extinción. Abundan los molles, talas, espinillos, manzanos del campo, y arbustos o hierbas como el piquillín, crotón, chilca, duraznillo negro, romerillo, etc. Se pueden efectuar numerosos circuitos como la senda botánica, la casa del dique, el cerro La Cruz, la cascada de los helechos, el palomar y el mirador.

*** Cascada de Olaem La Falda :

Paseo por una de las pampas de altura, con un paisaje diferente y visitando dos simpáticas capillitas.

Son 102 km , 87 de ellos por camino de tierra que se deteriora fácilmente por las lluvias. Llené el tanque antes de salir. Para un día en cualquier época del año. Deberá llevar vianda.

Desde La Falda (km 0) salir por la Av. Italia , a la izquierda se deja el dique La Falda , para comenzar el ascenso por camino de tierra.

En el km 3 pasará junto a una molienda con hornos de cal, principal actividad serrana, y dejará a su derecha el cementerio local.

Llegando al km 4 habrá alcanzado suficiente altura para disfrutar de la vista: hacia atrás la ciudad de La Falda y hacia el norte hasta las proximidades de La Cumbre . En km 5 habrá terminado de subir; el paisaje cambia y se entra a la Pampa de Oláen

Cascada del Hornito Los Gigantes

*** Cascada de el Pesebre Los Gigantes: Los Gigantes. Está conformado mayormente por cerros, fisuras, mogotes, arroyos subterráneos, valles y quebradas de rocas graníticas que han adquirido variadas formas (geoformas) de las cuales surge su nombre, algunas son reconocidas como: El Pollito, El Indio, El Hornito y El Gorila.Hay también, varias cascadas y cuevas naturales: La Cueva del Hornito, la de la Salamanca y la de los Pájaros.COMO LLEGAR?

Se encuentra a 90 km de córdoba, hacia el oeste a unos 32 km de la localidad de Tanti, se pasa por Carlos Paz, y toma la ruta 38, luego se gira en la rotanda de tantí, justo donde se encuentra el complejo de entreteniminrto PEKOS.

Luego de Tantí el Camino son 32 Km. de Tierra, por la RUTA 28 hasta llegar a "la Garita" que nos muestra el desvio de 5 Km. hasta llegar qa la base del Macizo.

EN COLECTIVO

Desde Córdoba sale una sola linea de colectivo, "SARMIENTO". La misma sale todos los Dias a las 8 hs. desde la terminal de Obnibus de córdoba, y pasa por los gigantes alrededor de las 11:30hs. Los dias Martes sale de la terminal a las 6:00 hs. Todos los dias regresa por los GIGANTES a las 17:30 hs. ecepto los sábados que regresa a las 12:00hs. Los dias feriados o fin de semanas largos, cambia los horarios. por favor consultar antes en terminal de Obnibus de Cordoba: INFORMES: terminalcordoba

Se aconseja sacar con tiempo el pasaje, dado que es por orden de llegada.

El colectivo hace una parada en la Terminal de Obnibus de Carlos Paz, al rededor de las 9 hs. y luego hace otra parada mas en la terminal de Tanti... Igual que antes, se bajan en "la Garita" que esta justo a unos kilometros de una parada que hace el colectivo para descansar. Luego de la garita se patean unos 3 km. mas o menos y llegan a la base del macizo.

La misma se llama la rotonda. Cabe destacar que no es la unica Forma de Subir. Se puede subir al macizo por "Casas Nuevas" que pertenece a la familia Bazan, y se entra a los gigantes por el sendero Norte(de este sendero voy a hacer un post aparte). Pero el mas conocido y corto es por "La Rotonda"...

SENDERISMO, Lugares para vistar: La cumbresita

La Cumbrecita is a small village located in a small part of the Sierra Grande. It has an Alpine-style construction with hotels hidden in the middle of pine forests and mountain paths. In winter, it has Swiss-style scenery for the snow and alpine style. Walking Village:Since July 9, 1996, autos have not been permitted inside the city center and the entire area is proctected as an environmental safe-haven. The town is focused on ecotourism. Excursions to La Cumbrecita can be taken from Villa General Belgrano, which is nearby, if you don´t have your own transportation. Teahouses specialize in Apfelstrudel and Chocolate cake. - La Falda- 81 km from Córdoba-

Located on the side of the El Cuadrado hill is surrounded by beautiful hillside scenery and natural waterholes that invite you to rest of take advantage of adventure tourism. The nearby La Falda dam offers excellent fishing and the possibility of water sports. It has one of the most populated and active cities in the Punilla Valley. La Falda is home to the historic ´Eden Hote´(now a public part and historic site/museum that does not host hotel guests) which was visited by Albert Einstein and other personalities. La Falda is near to other tourist sites such as Valle Hermoso, Villa Giardino, Huerta Grande, Los Cocos, La Cumbre and Capilla del Monte in the Punilla Valley. - Capilla del Monte- 110 km from Córdoba

Capilla del Monte is a beautiful and attractive town at 980 meters above sea level to make as your base for exploring the many little villages around the Punilla hills. The Uritorco Mountain, Los Terrones, and the Ongamira Caves are some of the most frequented sights in the area and where the traveler will find some of the most colorful and ancient natural attractions in the area. There are many organized excursions in this area. They vary from day-hikes to extreme adventure toursim such as rock-climbing, paragliding, etc. Capilla del Monte became famous on an international level in the last decades due to a mysterious ´halo´ that covers the Cerro Uritorco. Many people believe it has extraterrestrial activity and the UFO´s have been spotted in the area.

- Mina Clavero- 139 km from Córdoba

The sun that reflects on the river bed of the Los Sauces River is adored by hundreds of sunbathers along more than 14 km of sandy beaches. This paradise, surrounded by crystal clear rivers, is the capital of tourism in the Traslasierra Valley. At night the main city center streets shut down and become a walkway of full bars, restaurants and cultural events. There are many complexes in the area where you can rent cabins or even set up your own tent at one of the many camping grounds where you can also fish in the streams. Also, in this area make sure to take advantage of the local handcrafts which are made by families with long traditions in the area or crafting ceramics, stone, wood, and knit, leather and woven goods. You can visit other spots from there like Nono, Cura Brochero, Museo Rocssen, and much more!

- Cerro Colorado Natual Reserve- 160 km from Córdoba

This reserve is located in the Morthern-center area of the province, occupying a surface of 3000 hectares. On private property. There is an amazing flora and fauna to explore and enjoy. Cultural importance of the reserve: This reserve has a high level of cultural elements since it is one of the most representative places with art from the ancient Córdoba natives. It has many walls displaying their art manifestations. You can see a lot of figures of Spanish soldiers on their horses.

- Mar Chiquita- 185 km from Córdoba

mar Chiquita (literally ´Little Sea´ in Spanish) or Mar de Ansenuza is an endorheic salt lake located in the northeast of the province of Córdoba. It is the largest of the naturally occurring saline lakes in Argentina. The lands around the lower course of the River Dulce and Mar Chiquita are wetlands, populated by a large amount of biodiversity (especially aquatic birds). There are serveral islands in the lake, the most important one being Médano Island. Mar Chiquita is slowly diminishing in volume due to increased evaporation and shallow bottom, and is ultimately bound to turn into a salt flat. The lake was formerly home to a growing tourism industry, and was the site of the Gran Hotel Vienna, a luxurious lakefront establishment, which functioned from 1945 to 1980 and has been the center of numberous mysteries and controversies.

- Los Terrones- Cap. del Monte- 109

This place is full of incredible wind-eroded shaped rocks. It invites you to embark on a trek in which you will have the opportunity to admire the ancient sand and lava figures from millions of years ago. You can choose different types of activities to do in the area: short trekking, long trekking, photographic safari, among others. It is located 14 km from Capilla del Monte. The complex counts with a bar and a natural museum.

- Cerro Uritorco en Capilla del Monte 110km from Córdoba
In the last few years in has become one of the most visited areas in Argentina, as well as Latin America. It is known for it´s natural beauty and mystic interest. It has remained unharmed and in it´s natural state despite development in nearby areas. It has a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation, and has also been declared a natural protected zone by the government. It is a great place to go for day hikes and has lots of natural beauty, including rivers, waterfalls and rock formations.

- Quebrada del Condorito- 85km from Córdoba-

It is located on the west of Córdoba, at 1900 and 2300 mts. above the sea. The Quebrada del Condorito, a protected area, is a deep ´cañadón´with a ´V´ shape with 800 mts of height and 1500 mts in its wider part, from whose superior edges it is possible to observe the smooth flight of the Andean Condor. This species is typical of the ´Cordillera´(mountain range). In the past few decades the ranchers have been killing the Condor, which has caused a decrease in the population. It´s climate is ´subtropical-warm´, which has the highest temperatures of the continent. The rain in the summer varies between 500 and 700 mm. Activities: Trekking, Fauna and Flora observation, mountain bike, horseback riding, observation in the North or South Balcony.

-Los Gigantes- 90 km from Córdoba

Just 30 km away from Tanti at 2,374 meters above sea level are the great sierras called ´Los Gigantes.´ It is over 600 million years old, making this geological formation one of the oldest in the country. The different hills that compose this sierra form valleys surrounded by streams, hidden caverns and imposing rock walls. You can observe and experience these amazing landscapres on horseback, by trekking or on 4x4 all- terrain vehicles. Due to its geography this place has become one of the most important sites for climbers and rappel lovers. There is an ample variety of fauna, from small lizards, jotes, eagles, ´loicas and romolineras´, condors, hares, pumas and foxes.

- La Cumbre- 94 km from Córdoba
In the summit of the Punilla valley. Mild climate with exotic vegetation that allows for local species, aromatic herbs, piquillines, small forests and hundreds of bushes. Tourism options: Trekking, paragliding, handgliding, mountain biking, horseback riding, etc.

- Villa del Totoral- 80 km from Córdoba
Located in Northern Córdoba. Keeps alive the essence of the creole culture. A popular tour in the autmun is, ´The big houses circuit,´which allows you to see 25 old- fashioned houses. The majority of the houses belong to the founding families of Totorol. Maybe it was a combination of the mountain climate, old trees and dirt roads that produced the special alchemy for Villa del Totoral to be the birthplace, residence and inspiration of world- famous artists like Pablo Neruda and Rafael Alberti. Both artists were persecuted for their ideas and found shelter in Totoral and were able to continue creating. Their footsteps will be retraced and works revived in this fascinating tour.

- Colonia Caroya- 50 km from Córdoba
Located to the north of Córdoba´s capital city, Colonia Caroya has (within the Province of Córdoba) the biggest amount of wineries and homemade wine producers. In recent years, these wineries have received national and international recongition. For this reason, with the support of the local town council and Córdoba Tourism Agency (from the Government of the Province of Córdoba), a group of wineries, homemade wine producers, sausage makers and other service suppliers of the city work together to offer a unique experience to travellers.

Tanti
50 km from the capital of Córdoba. It is a quaint town with pisturesque scenery. Despite the advancement of surrounding cities, the residents of Tanti are proud of the fact that Tanti has been able to maintain the essence of the sierras. Tanti is located 865 meters above sea level. It has a special microclimate that makes it ideal for relaxing as well as outdoor activities such as:rappel, trekking, escalada, horseback riding.
